School Daze.....

The fall semester is less than 5 months long and learning to program is something that can take years! =0 I read this really interesting article by Peter Norvig called Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years. Can you tell I am feeling a little discouraged? Honestly, discouraged is not the right word, more like overwhelmed.
Homework has begun to steal more and more time out of my day lately. I've been told that for every hour you are in class, 2 hours outside of class are required for studying and homework. I am attending class a total of 7 hours each week so I need at least 14 hours for schoolwork outside of class each week. Let me calculate this......one week contains 168 hours, if I subtract my typical "necessary" hours for all the other shit I fill my days with like sleeping (7 or 8 hours a night if I am lucky), work (30 hours per week), misc. activity (more time than I would like to admit, probably about 3 or 4 hours each day) and then school (7 hours per week) plus my 14 hours needed for homework. Now I'll subtract my "necessary" hours from the total hours in a week: 168 - 56 - 30 - 28 - 7 - 14 = approx. 30 hours left. Where does the time go? Maybe we need an extra hour added onto every other day? So, one day there would be 24 hours and the next day there would be 25 hours. The hours in a day would alternate between 24 and 25. I think the concept of time needs to be revamped. Thank you to whoever started it and welcome to whoever modifies it.
