Mission Objective:
Buy a new cell phone that includes a worthwhile digital camera, a sleek, sturdy design and bunches of other cool features I can actually make use of. At the moment I have an old Motorola phone that has this ugly wave shape face cover and the service I use is called Airvoice Wireless which is one of those pay-as-you-go companies. I am definitely not the kind of person who calls everyone I know for every little thing that happens throughout the day so using a prepaid plan fits my phone habits perfectly. There is one feature Airvoice offers that I take full advantage of and that is unlimited free text messaging. ;) I am curious if Airvoice is a widely used company. I have yet to run into someone who has even heard of Airvoice let alone actually uses their service. =( Anyway here are a few phones I have my eyeballs on:
Sony Ericsson K700
Sony Ericsson T630
Nokia 6620
Sony Ericsson S710a
I seem to drool a little more for the S710a despite its $500 price tag. Of course if I sign up for a contract with my phone of choice it would magically cost around $20. I think that is so unfair! I should not have to go to one of those annoying booths in the mall to be hassled by 10 different salesman trying to convince me to sign up for their monthly service contract when all I really want to do is to quietly purchase a non-activated phone and peacefully walk away. But I'm sure all those major phone companies make way too much money to care about my selfish complaints. Well.... fuck them! There must be a
UPS or FEDEX truck out there I can catch falling packages from that contain fancy, new phones with my name written all over them in invisible ink. ;)
