hApPy EaRs liKe gOOd muSic

Quite a few years ago I discovered one of my favorite bands, Koop. I absolutely love their music! I was lucky enough to see them perform live at the El Rey Theatre in L.A. and they are really amazing musicians. Anyway, Koop will often use different vocalists to sing on their tracks which is how I discovered Yukimi Nagano. I fell in love with her voice and she became one of my favorite female vocalists. Yukimi has her own super cool band called Little Dragon. Their music is fun, soulful and unique. I've seen their awesome live performance too. Yukimi recently started her own blog called Electric Forest. I think her blog will be interesting because I like her and she's cool. Here is a snippet from her post yesterday;

"I wish for brighter days of more nature caring neighbor loving peace devoted politicians who care about the world in a true sense, who don't preserve ancient ideas of Gods, who look towards science and technology and trust the goodwill of human beings for the future!"

See? I told you she was cool ;)

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday and I am now 24 years old! I got an iPhone and a Playstation 3 which I am both very excited about. Another very cool thing I am getting is a promotion at work. Starting next week I will officially be a manager at my store. I've never been the manager of a lot of people before so this will be a really great learning experience for me. I am going to be the coolest manager... as long as everyone follows my directions ;)

Hi Cokey!

This is a picture of my new little puppy Cokey. He is a maltepoo which is a cross between a maltese and a poodle. He was born on October 7th 2007. Cokey enjoys chewing on my hand, diving head first onto people's feet, playing tug-of-war, barking at birds, munching on leaves and twigs, watching cars drive by and going to the pet store.

Happy Halloween!

I didn't plan on dressing up this year but I changed my mind at last minute so my "costume" consisted of whatever I could find in my closet. Eventually I came up with this 70s look. =)

Below is a picture of me and my friend Melissa. We ran into each other at a local halloween carnival. It was a nice surprise to see her.

I had a happy halloween filled with lots of candy and I hope everyone else did too.
